4. Data collection on our website

Server log files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files that your browser sends automatically. These are:

  • Date and time of access
  • Referrer URL (the previously visited page/website)

This data is not combined with other data sources.
The basis of data processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 (f) GDPR, which authorizes the processing of data for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

The aforementioned data are deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary for achieving the specified purposes. If your IP address is processed, it is deleted after seven days.

Cookies

The data that you entered in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to its storage or if the reason for the data storage lapses (e.g. after completing the processing of your inquiry). Mandatory statutory provisions - especially retention periods - remain unaffected.

Passing data on

The personal information provided to us will only be passed on to other locations within the SwissOptic AG, provided that this is necessary with regard to internal cooperation or for the processing of your inquiries.

Applicant's data

We collect and process the personal data of applicants so that we can process their applications. This processing can also be realized electronically.
This is particularly the case if an applicant submits the relevant application documents to us electronically, i.e. via email or via a web form from our website.

If a contract of employment results from the application, then the transmitted data will be stored for the purpose of implementing the employment relationship in compliance with the statutory provisions.

If the application does not result in a contract of employment, then the application documents will be deleted six months after the job placement has been finalized, provided that deletion does not prejudice any other legitimate interests of the processing entity. Another legitimate interest in this sense could be the burden of proof in a procedure under the General Equal Treatment Act (Allgemeinen Gleichbehandlungsgesetz). The data can also be stored longer with the approval of the applicant.
